Normandy Cheese Sauce

  Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 can (1.2/3 cups) evaporated milk
1.2 cup water
1/4 lb. process American cheese, shredded

   
  Making:
   
  Blend flour and seasonings with butter; stir in evaporated milk and water. Cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted. makes about 2½ cups sauce. To prepare rice Normandy: cook rice in herb-flavored chicken stock and toss with snipped parsley when tender.
