| Making: | ||
| 1. | Cook the rice in boiling stock or salted water with the bay leaf. Drain, and while still hot stir in the oil, making sure the rice is well coated. | |
| 2. | Heat the butter in a frying pan, add onion and apple and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in curry powder, cook for a few minutes. Remove from the heat, add cream, grated lemon rind and juice, chopped ham, red pepper, and rice. Set aside for about 1 hour chill | |
| 3. | Roll this mixture in slices of ham and secure with a cocktail stick or toothpick if necessary. | |
| 4. | Arrange on a bed of lettuce and garnish with black olives and strips of pimento. | |
