Today there are three methods
of making coffee in general use; vacuum,
drips and percolator. For any method it is
important to follow these rules. |
1. |
Use the right grind of coffee
for your coffee maker and the right blend of
coffee for your taste. |
2. |
Use freshly drawn, cold
water. |
3. |
Keep coffee maker clean and
rinse with hot water before use. |
4. |
The standard proportion of
coffee and water is 2 tablespoons coffee (or
1 coffee measure) water, although some
people use more or less coffee depending
upon their preference. |
5. |
Never boil coffee; this will
cause an undesirable flavor change. |
6. |
For best flavor, always serve
coffee as soon as possible after brewing. |
7. |
When using automatic coffee
makers, always follow the manufacturer's
directions as to use and care. |
